With more than 300 sunny days per year, the longest sandy beaches on the Canary islands, large number of secluded bays and great waves which quality is widely known among surfers, you can be sure that Fuerteventura is one of the best surf destinations in Europe. The island is situated on the same geographic latitude as Florida or Mexico and temperatures here rarely drop below 20°C or rise above 30°C, so island provides favourable conditions for surfing during the whole year. With very mild winters, and summers without extraordinary high temperatures, conditions on Fuerteventura are always very pleasant. The coast is full of diversity: from sandy beaches and dunes on the east coast of the island formed by sand brought from the Sahara desert, to the hidden villages surrounded by volcanic rocks and black sand beaches on the west coast. The interior of Fuerteventura is sparsely populated and it is characterised by a large number of volcanic peaks and a few green oasis with palm trees. Our house is situated in Corralejo at the northern tip of the island, where also all the best surf spots are situated.
