Oporto Surf Camp is a warm, friendly and cosy place where you can chill, enjoy nice party’s and become friends with guests from all over the world. Our passionate team is always around to help out and loves to show you our beautiful empty beaches, uncrowded surf spots and stunning waves to catch.
At Oporto Surf Camp you will not just get surf classes and accommodation. You will become part of our family along with the surf camp team who all fell in love with this little fishermen village, the ocean and the waves.
Rather you decide to stay in the Oporto Surf Lodge or in Oporto surf camp, you’ll be welcomed with a cosy room, right by the ocean.

LOCATION
In the North of Portugal you still feel a warm welcome. It’s less touristic then the Algarve. You will find authentic little fishing villages, simple but delicious restaurants and also not very unimportant, long unexplored sand beaches. Also the prices of the restaurants, cafe’s and bakeries are still friendly. Once here you can really enjoy your holiday, no cooking, no dishes, just surfing & relaxing.
Oporto Surf Camp is located in a picturesque and traditional fisherman’s village, Praia de Esmoriz.
Everything you need for your holiday is on walking distance (ATM, pharmacy, some shops, supermarket).
The marvelous bakeries, famous around our returning guests, restaurants to try out every night something different like traditional Portuguese plates, Brazilian rodizio, Italian food, tapas, fresh fish dishes or the famous take away chicken ‘Frango Piri Piri’. And of course some nice bars to enjoy a Super Bock beer.
BEST WAY TO FIND OPORTO SURF CAMP
The airport of Oporto (OPO – Sa Carneiro Aeroporto) is the nearest airport. This airport is only a 40-minute drive from Oporto Surf Camp.
You can also fly to Lisbon Airport. There is a good high-speed train connection from Lisbon Oriente train station to Esmoriz. There is one stopover and it takes about 2h50m.
TRANSFERS
We can arrange a transfer for you. Our driver will be then waiting for you when you come out of the baggage hall at the airport with our logo. The price is €50 per trip, for max 5 pax. For every extra person, it costs €10 extra. And for 8 persons, we count max €70 per trip. A transfer can be handy for a late arrival or early departure. It takes about 40 minutes from the airport by car to reach Oporto Surf Camp. We have free parking spaces on the street in front of the surf camp. Make sure the GPS is set to the beach part of Esmoriz.PUBLIC TRANSPORT
From the airport, you catch the metro to Porto – Campanha (40 min, 2,50€). From Porto – Campanha, you catch the train ‘Urbano’ in the direction of Aveiro or Ovar and get out in Esmoriz. (30 min, 2,40€). We can pick you up from the train station of Esmoriz. Just give us a call when you are in the metro and it’s leaving from the airport, then we can make sure one of us can pick you up.
