Palo Seco Beach is a long narrow beach island on the Central Pacific near the town of Parrita. It is about 9 km in length and less than 300 meters wide in most areas. The island has the Pacific Ocean on its southern shore and the Estuary (Estero de Palo Seco) on its northern shore. The estuary is a popular area for mangrove tours to view wildlife such as white-faced monkeys and an a huge array of birds. It is possible to walk for several kilometers without seeing another human being.
Palo Seco Beach has perfect conditions for surfing, it is pure beach break and there are no rocks, when the swell is strong big waves appear non stop.
