The International Surfing Day will launch the summer season and spread all over the worldwide beaches on Sunday, June 20. The International Surfing Day is a free day of worldwide celebration of surfing, opened to everybody and which allows youngest and eldest, beginners and experts to share a same passion.
Numerous events are organized throughout the world in order to make all publics discover surfing as a sport and culture. The 2009 edition was a new succes and reunited 34 countries and territories and more than 300 events around the world... and the International Surfing Day is still growing.
Organized and coordinated by EuroSIMA (European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association), this seventh edition is supported by the ESF (European Surfing Federation) and Surfrider Foundation (non profit organization for the protection of the environment) and, thanks to outstanding dynamism and enthousiasm, surf schools, clubs, shapers, brands, shops, associations and surfers contribute to the success of the event year after year. There are many activities offered: surf lessons, contests, tests of products, beach clean-ups, concerts, beach parties... and much more.
