CALHAU SURF SCHOOL
Calhau Surf School started its activity in the summer of 2010. It aims at a quality service for all those who want to start surfing or even just have a surf experience, and to all those who have already started their practice and wish to improve their technique.
The pedagogical model comprehends the involvement of the student with the environment, the different weather conditions, knowledge of the tides, safety measures, knowledge of technical equipment, and of maneuvers and surfing techniques. We present a more personalized service with a small number of students per instructor. The technical material is provided by the school to enable a fast and efficient development of the student’s learning process without further economic constraints. The lessons are accompanied by photographs and/or footage taken in/out of water allowing us to register the student's progress in each class and each instructor will have only 6 students maximum in order to better support them. We have several teachers and monitors with many years of practice and experience in the sport.
We also have available services such as board-rental, surf guiding and both Stand Up Paddling and Bodyboard classes.
The school is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation.
